Refund Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

The short version: if Cyanote isn't for you, email us within 14 days of buying it and we'll refund you in full. You don't have to explain why, and you don't have to prove you've uninstalled anything.

1. The guarantee

Cyanote is a one-time purchase of $4.99 USD. If you are not happy with it for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. No questions asked, and no conditions about how much you used it.

2. How to request one

Email support@cyanote.app from the address you bought with, or include your order number. That is the whole process — there is no form to fill in.

We aim to reply within two business days. Once approved, the money goes back to your original payment method. How quickly it appears is up to your bank or card issuer, and is usually somewhere between a few days and a couple of weeks.

3. Who processes the refund

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for this product. That means Lemon Squeezy — not us — is the seller on your statement and the party that issues the refund. You can raise a refund request with us or with Lemon Squeezy directly; either route works, and we will pass it on if you come to us.

4. After a refund

A refund ends your licence to use Cyanote, and we ask that you uninstall it. Your licence key stops working for new installations, but nothing switches itself off on a copy that is already activated: the app checks the key once, when it is first installed, and never again. So we are relying on you here rather than on a lock. Any notes, tasks and other data you created are stored on your own computer, not on our servers, so they are unaffected and remain yours — we cannot reach them and we do not delete them.

5. After 14 days

We are not able to offer a routine refund once 14 days have passed. If something has genuinely gone wrong — the app will not run on a supported system, or a purchase was made in error or without the account holder's knowledge — write to us anyway and we will look at it properly. We would rather sort out a real problem than hold you to a date.

6. Duplicate and accidental purchases

If you were charged twice, or bought a second copy by mistake, tell us and we will refund the extra charge regardless of the 14 days.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing here reduces the rights you already have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK, the EU or another territory with a statutory cooling-off period for digital purchases, those rights apply in addition to this policy, and where they are more generous than it, they win.

8. Free updates

Updates to Cyanote are included in the purchase and are never charged for separately, so there is nothing to refund in respect of an update.

9. Changes

We'll update this page if this policy changes and revise the date above. The policy that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought.

This policy forms part of our terms of service.
